Arts and Cultural Exchange – ACE aceinc.org.au
Established in 1984, Arts and Cultural Exchange (ACE) is a vibrant cultural organization based in Dharug Country, Western Sydney. ACE operates with a strong commitment to First Nations principles, diversity, and equity. The organization is guided by five key program areas: First Nations, Youth Engagement, Multicultural Women, Neurodivergent Artists and Aged Care, and Screen. ACE is renowned for its dedication to social justice, leveraging creativity to address disadvantage, and producing innovative interdisciplinary projects that are collaboratively developed with the communities it serves.
Originally known as the Holroyd-Parramatta Info Van, ACE began by providing essential information to underserved populations. By the early 1990s, recognizing the transformative power of arts and culture, the organization shifted focus towards community cultural development programs. In 1992, it rebranded as Information and Cultural Exchange to better reflect its evolving mission. The 2022 rebranding to Arts and Cultural Exchange further aligned with the organization’s core activities, emphasizing its commitment to arts and culture. Today, ACE integrates digital media, technology, and various art forms to engage with communities, ensuring access to resources and fostering creative expression. ACE’s work is supported by grants, donations, and venue hires, affirming its role as a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient status.
